MISSION
Artspace was founded in 1973 by parents who wanted more in-school and out-of-school arts experiences for their children. Artspace's mission is to encourage and nurture the appreciation of and participation in the arts by offering programs and instruction, and by advocating the importance of the arts in education and in the community.
Artspace serves 350 students annually with weekly lessons and classes at our own facility, and through outreach programs. We currently work in partnership with the Greenfield Public Schools by funding and staffing the Strings for Kids program, free, weekly group violin lessons for 3rd and 4th graders.
SUPPORT ARTSPACE!
Each year, Artspace relies on the generosity of individuals and businesses to help us close the gap between operating expenses and earned income (tuition). Tuition fees do not cover the cost of operating expenses. We are grateful to those individuals and businesses that donate to the Annual Fund. These donations help us to balance our budget and to offer financial aid to those families who need help with tuition. Every contributor is considered a member and is eligible to participate in our annual Members Exhibit. Contribute at the $50 level (or higher) and you are entitled to a 5% discount on classes offered at Artspace. Click here to make a donation and become an Artspace member.
